CLICK & DRAG Using Shapes and Colours

Click & Drag is directed at the children who are confident in Levels 1 & 2 (Rollover and ClickIt Skills) and continues the ClickIt theme by teaching the children how to Click and Drag various buttons around the screen. Lessons include colours, shapes, sounds, Maori language and basic numeracy.

It is interactive, bi-cultural, educational and most importantly FUN! It is aimed for use in Early Education and Junior Primary and compliments the National Curriculum (Te Whariki).

The focus of Click & Drag I is to introduce children to the Skill of being able to click and drag the mouse to interact with activities on the screen. A fun and exciting way for children to gain confidence with computer.

Our audio and visual demonstrations direct the children clearly and simply on how the computer mouse works, (if necessary, we also suggest that you reduce mouse speed to make it easier for your child to use).

Children also have a choice of EASY or HARD lessons. This enables children with all different levels of ability to learn at their own pace. We have found this builds confidence. There are 10 interactive lessons for each skill base and these lessons can be followed either individually, as a class group, or with teacher assistance.

There are help buttons, audio instructions and teachers notes for all lessons. There is a project at the end which revises the entire Click&Drag Level which can be printed on completion. If the children are confident in completing this project then we recommend they move on to the next level: Click&Drag I.

An instruction manual is included.
